The third part of the training objective of the Network facilitates individual exchanges to other institutes that are part of the network. Visits will last between two weeks and a month, with institutions providing study space for the visitors. The receiving institution will provide a host who will ensure that the visiting student is welcomed and introduced to people with related research interests. The visits will provide invaluable opportunities for the visiting students to become familiar with related research in the host institution and to learn about the data sources available in the institution. With respect to the longer term, such visits should prove a vital means for developing international networks that will greatly facilitate future European comparative research.
