This website is dedicated to the EQUALSOC research program, created to mobilize and develop research expertise across Europe on economic change, quality of life and social cohesion. The original duration was from 2005 - 2010. However, the network will remain in existence for another 3 years:
During the first five years the primary aim was to stimulate high quality comparative European research on social cohesion; encourage the development of additional research centres and facilitate access to the research results for the wider research community and for policy makers.
Now EQUALSOC aims to provide an infrastructure for training the rising generation of young researchers in the skills of comparative research, facilitating the organization of summer schools, methodology workshops and conferences with this website. Also the resulting Policy papers and State of the Art reports published within the EQUALSOC Network of Excellence are made available:
